Jamie Phillips RN
I qualified as an adult nurse and worked in community and palliative care before moving into learning and development. What pulled me across was noticing how much of what makes care good or poor comes down to how people were prepared, supported and led.
I have led organisational learning and clinical education for a hospice charity: writing its first clinical education strategy, moving training in-house, embedding clinical supervision, building internal leadership development, and rebuilding how learning data was structured and reported.
Before nursing I spent seven years in information systems, managing data teams and delivering system migrations. It is an unusual route into L&D, and useful—most healthcare learning problems are partly data problems.
I work on: learning strategy, leadership development, training assurance and programme design.
